Setting Up Your Bereg Tent
Before You Go
- Read through these instructions completely
Basic Setup Steps
1. Choose Your Location
- Select level ground away from hazards
- Clear snow, rocks, and debris from the area
- Consider wind direction and proximity to firewood
- Ensure adequate ventilation space around the tent
4. Stake Out Guy Lines (CRITICAL)
- Always stake out all guy lines - this is essential!
- Weather can change quickly; wind can damage an unstaked tent
- Use proper tent stakes suitable for your terrain
- Adjust tension evenly on all sides
- Check and retighten guy lines regularly
5. Install Your Wood Stove
- Position stove on a heat-resistant surface
- Assemble stove pipe sections
- Thread pipe through the stove jack opening
- Ensure pipe extends high enough above tent (check local regulations)
- Keep stove away from tent walls

Essential Safety Rules
- Never leave a burning stove unattended
- Ensure adequate ventilation at all times
- Keep a fire extinguisher or water nearby
- Monitor carbon monoxide levels (use a CO detector)
- Keep flammable items away from the stove
- Use dry, seasoned firewood only
Burn Time Tips
- Large stoves provide 5+ hours of smouldering time
- Make sure you have a hot bed of coals in the stove before bed for overnight warmth
- Adjust air intake to control burn rate
- Keep the pipe clean for optimal draft
Tent Care & Maintenance
During Use
- Keep tent clean and dry
- Brush off snow and or ice before entering
- Ventilate regularly to prevent condensation
- Check guy lines daily and adjust as needed
- Inspect stove pipe connections regularly
After Your Trip
- Dry tent completely before storing (critical!)
- Clean any dirt, soot, or debris
- Inspect for damage and repair if needed
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Never store a damp tent - mold and mildew will develop
Long-Term Storage
- Keep in a temperature-controlled environment
- Avoid direct sunlight during storage
- Check periodically for moisture or pests
Cleaning Your Tent

- Brush off dirt and debris with a soft brush
- Spot clean with mild soap and water
- Rinse thoroughly and air dry completely
- Never use harsh chemicals or detergents
Repairs & Warranty

- Small tears can be patched with tent repair tape
- Replace damaged guy lines promptly

- Take clear photos showing the defect
- Provide proof of purchase date

- Note: Warranty doesn't cover damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Condensation Inside Tent

Solution: Increase ventilation, crack a window or door
- Avoid cooking inside without proper ventilation
Tent Sides Blowing Inward
- Solution: Stake out all guy lines properly
- Adjust tension to keep walls taut
- Add extra stakes in high wind conditions
Stove Not Drawing Well
- Check for blockages in stove pipe
- Ensure pipe extends high enough above tent
- Verify adequate air intake
